Bridge Rehabilitation
EFK Moen was selected by the MoDOT Bridge Division to provide professional engineering services to prepare the plans, specials, and estimates for the rehabilitation of this major river crossing. EFK Moen was responsible for the preliminary plans, final plans, necessary roadway and bridge plans, as well as all specifications and cost estimates.
The scope of services included preliminary and final bridge design, review of existing bridge inspection reports, photos and information, and site visits. EFK Moen assisted with the development of the bridge rehabilitation checklist, developed bridge cost estimate, designed layout documents, and coordinated with district staff to determine construction staging. Specific rehabilitation recommendations included finger plate repair and replacements, cable repairs, wearing surface removal and replacement, and superstructure and substructure repairs.
