Bridge Replacement

EFK Moen prepared roadway and bridge plans for the replacement of an existing eight-span steel truss bridge carrying westbound Business Route 60 over the Black River and the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR).

The proposed bridge is a three-span, variable-depth steel plate girder bridge. A variable-depth girder was required in order to meet vertical clearance requirements for the railroad and Riverview Drive. The bridge is located in downtown Poplar Bluff, requiring coordination with the City on fencing, lighting, and the maintenance of traffic during construction.
