This project consisted of channel improvements, retaining walls, revetment, grade control structures, and biostabilization. EFK Moen met with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on site to develop a solution using biostabilization measures, which eliminated mitigation requirements and resulted in a natural, “green” solution to the channel improvements. The design approach prioritized stream stability and erosion control while preserving the natural character of the channel. These improvements provided a cost-effective, environmentally sensitive solution that enhanced long-term performance and reduced maintenance needs.
