Stormwater Design & Water Resources

St. Louis County’s Parks Department hired EFK Moen to design improvements to Bohrer Park’s pond and boardwalk feature. The design involved new pond geometries and a new water quality forebay to treat stormwater runoff before entering the pond. In addition, the improvements were developed to enhance long-term water quality performance while maintaining the pond’s aesthetic and recreational value. The project also carefully considered constructability and integration with the existing park amenities to minimize impacts to park users during implementation.
